Borestone Mountain is just off the Moosehead Trail in Elliottsville and in the 100 mile Wilderness Area. You can park across from the entrance that is just beyond Bodfish Crossing and Bodfish Train Station. Be sure to stop by Wildlife Lodge Gift Store on the Onawa Road before you leave the area.
You will enjoy the climb and view for miles from the top of Borestone, and you can look down at Onawa Lake, Big Greenwood Pond and Big Wilson Stream. To add to your enjoyment you can stay at Wildlife Lodge and enjoy the many other scenic sites.
